DETROIT— September 30, 2015 — Mariners Inn will host its 27th annual River Rhythm gala fundraiser, celebrating 90 years of supporting recovery in metro Detroit, at 6 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 6 at the Sound Board at Motor City Casino.

The evening will feature entertainment by Kroon, speed painting by Martina Hahn, a plated dinner, silent and live auctions, and an award ceremony honoring generous community supporters. Dr. Partha Nandi, creator of Emmy Award-winning program Ask Dr. Nandi, will act as the evening’s MC.

Funds raised by River Rhythm support Mariners Inn services, with 93 cents per dollar directly benefitting programming. Last year Mariners Inn provided vital recovery services to more than 1,000 homeless men, as well as family and youth outreach services, focused on family reunification, to over 500.

“River Rhythm is an opportunity for us to honor the individuals and generous donors who have supported our mission and made possible the continued expansion of our services, which now includes at-risk youth and young adults,” said David Sampson, chief executive officer of Mariners Inn.

Tickets are $150 each. Mariners Inn welcomes sponsors and donations of raffle items for River Rhythm.
