Mariners Inn, a nonprofit homeless shelter and treatment center, is hosting its 8th Annual Adopt-A-Family holiday campaign. The campaign is designed as a way for the residents of Mariners Inn to give back by helping local families in need enjoy the magic of the holiday season. The men of Mariners Inn raise money for this initiative by organizing fundraisers within the center. All proceeds are used by the men to purchase gifts for children who would otherwise be unable to enjoy the holidays.

“These men may be homeless but they are not helpless!” says David Sampson, CEO of Mariners Inn. “Our men have once again taken on the Herculean challenge of helping those in need. We couldn’t be more proud of them and their efforts to make a family’s holiday season a memorable one. Please join us on this journey to bring joy to the less fortunate and smiles on the faces of their children for the Christmas holiday.”

Through providing holiday wishes to others in need, the residents also strengthen their recovery and gain a sense of self-worth. Currently the men of Mariners Inn are working hard to collect contributions and provide essential items such as clothing, toys, household items, and food for families in need. Mariners Inn is seeking businesses, churches, individuals, and student organizations to join their residents by adopting a family in need through in-kind and monetary contributions.
