WHY: The Mariners Inn Art Therapy program aims to use the creative arts as a mechanism for healing. The men involved in the art therapy program are given the tools they need to produce paintings, drawings, sculptures and more. Our trained art therapist works with the men both individually and in groups with the goal of helping them to express themselves through their work, and to talk with the men about their emotions and concerns. Open studio hours are available for the men who wish to work on their artwork for longer periods of time.
